We Pakistanis who are always famous for all the wrong reasons and now we can add another egg in that basket, Sind government is thinking of going low down and blocking instant messaging apps like Whatsapp,Viber, Tango & Skype to limit terrorist to use only pigeons to communicate. Can somebody please explain the logic behind this amazing rocket science decision???? How on earth does PPPP come up with these brilliant ideas?
Reports are in that terrorist are worried that how will they communicate to each other and they are planning to cancel their GPRS packages and hire pigeons to take care of their communication. One of terrorist who’s Skype id is innocent_terror said he was so sad that he will not be able to enjoy Skype games while taking hunting orders. 😉
Now after some lame jokes for this lame news let see how this can impact us, There are numerous home based business running from Karachi,Hyderabad and Sukkur and all this business are catering international clients located in different parts of the world. These business use Skype,Viber and whatsapp to stay in touch with their clients. If this idiotic decision does take any shape it will hurt these people in a major way and it will give this country a bad name as well. It will also leave an impact whose loved ones are abroad and they communicate via theses apps as making calls abroad is expensive.
This decision has seen the daylight when federal government is planning to float 3G,4G and LTE licenses, This does not synchronize with the current black cloud that is hovering over the social media and all sort of banning website. More then year has passed and still youtube is blocked in Pakistan and in coming days we can expect some more bans.
